The occurrence of flowing wells in basins has been found to be closely related to the discharge area with an upward hydraulic gradient. Unfortunately, previous studies on upward gradient induced wellbore flow with equaling total inflow (Qin) in the deep and total outflow (Qout) in the shallow could not explain the occurrence of flowing wells. By representing wells using the MNW2 Package imbedded in MODFLOW 2005, we obtain the exchange of groundwater between the aquifer and the well in the discharge area of 3D unit basins and identify three scenarios: Qin = Qout, Qin > Qout > 0 and Qin > Qout = 0. The relationship of Qin > Qout well explains why flowing wells only develop in a limited part of the discharge area. Sensitivity analysis shows that well location, water table undulation, and basin length–depth ratio do not change the profile of the ratio of cumulative flow rate in a flowing well to total inflow (Qv/Qin) versus the relative elevation in the inflow segment, zin*, but could significantly change the length of the inflow segment; well depth could change both the length of the inflow segment and the profile of Qv/Qin versus zin*. Based on the numerical results in homogeneous and isotropic basins with different basin length–depth ratios in the current study, the ratio of inflow in the lower half part of a flowing well to the total inflow is found to be at least 67% and could be close to 100%, indicating that water at the outlets of flowing wells with long open sections is mainly from the deep part of the well.  相似文献

位于渤海中部海域的BZ13-1油田在前期钻井中存在溢流、井漏、阻卡等较多复杂问题,制约了钻井速度。井壁稳定的力学分析方法主要利用钻井资料、测井资料、录井资料等,分析地层压力、地应力、地层强度参数的分布规律,结合岩体强度准则计算坍塌压力与破裂压力,得出钻井安全密度窗口。通过对BZ13-1油田井壁稳定性进行分析,得出了高压层、易漏失层、易坍塌层位置,并据此对开发井进行井身结构设计,分析结果在开发井钻井中取得了良好的应用效果,有效减少了钻井复杂问题。  相似文献

This paper presents a novel analytical solution to the transient, z‐dependent, and asymmetric problem of an infinite wellbore drilled into a fluid‐saturated porous medium. The formulations are based on Biot's linear theory of poroelasticity, in which the dependency of poroelastic field variables to spatial coordinates as well as time domain is considered in the most general form. This gives flexibility to the solution in cases that cannot be analyzed using the conventional plane strain or symmetric models. One such case is when calculating the stress variations around an inclined wellbore where the far‐field stresses are acting over a finite vertical section. The results of our solution to this case with a three‐dimensional state of far‐field stress are used to analyze the stability of inclined wellbores passing through abnormally stressed formations. The presented solution is capable of finding expressions for fundamental solutions with stress or flow boundary conditions at the wellbore. These solutions are here adopted to analyze the pressure disturbances generated by multiprobe formation tester, a standard wireline device that is designed for downhole fluid sampling as well as estimating the directional permeabilities of subsurface earth formations. A comparison with the conventional solution for the relevant pressure diffusion equation indicates that the poroelastic effect is relatively significant in relation to the transient response of the pore pressure. Further, it is shown that the finite dimensions of sink probe would, to a great extent, contribute to the formation's pore pressure variations at its immediate proximity. Constructed wetlands (CWs) are engineered systems for treating wastewater by sequestering nutrients and contaminants. Our aim was to assess the main phosphorus (P) binding states in operating CWs to assess P saturation and indications on P recycling potential of filter materials, which might be necessary under future peak P scenarios. The investigated vertical flow CWs (operation time up to 16 years) are based on either fluviatile (Fluv) sand or zeolite- (Ze-LS) and clinopyroxene (Cl-LS)-dominated lava sand. Organic and inorganic P accumulated in all CWs independent of filter materials and showed a considerable increase with operation time. Concentrations of P decreased sharply with depth in the Fluv-CWs compared to only a slight decrease in the lava sand CWs, with P concentrations of deeper horizons approximating the relatively P enriched original lava sand substrates. Orthophosphate was the dominant pool in all CWs, while the sum of organic fractions ranged between 11% and 33%. Sequential extraction indicated that P was mainly associated with Fe and Al (hydr)oxides for Fluv-CWs and Ze-LS-CWs, while Ca and Mg bound mineral phosphates dominated in Cl-LS-CWs. Oxalate extractions pointed to a clear dominance of P fractions associated with poorly crystalline Fe- and Al-(oxy)hydroxides. Solution 31P NMR analyses revealed that inositol hexakisphosphates were a major pool of organic P in surface layers of CWs, which increased with operation time. With a maximum of 0.5% P content, filter sands do not appear to be a suitable fertilizer for direct application to agricultural fields. The dominance of inorganic, poorly crystalline P species point to potentially high desorption capacity which might be investigated further, to assess recycling potential of P or usage of filter materials as soil amendments with relatively high plant available P. The latter might become feasible and economically attractive under future P scarcity. Simultaneously, P saturation indexes (DPS) did not indicate an imminent P saturation of filters, since P accumulation was not restricted by binding to Al and Fe minerals.  相似文献

Based on the analyses of 43 elements in 16 samples of the raw coal and feed coal collected from the northern Ordos basin and Shanxi Province, the modes of occurrence of these elements were studied using the method of cluster analysis and factor analysis, and the cleaning potential of the hazardous elements relatively enriched in the coals was discussed by analyzing six samples of the cleaned coal from the coal-washing plants and coal cleaning simulation experiments. The results shows that the elements Br and Ba show a strong affinity to the organic matter, Cs, Cd, Pb, Zn and Hg partly to the organic matter, and the other trace elements are mainly associated with the mineral matter. Cs, Mo, P, Pb, Zn and S have positive correlations with the two principal factors, reflecting the complexity of their modes of occurrence. Some elements that were thought to show a faint relationship (Be with S and Sb with carbonates) in other rocks are found to have a strong interrelation in the coals. Clay minerals (mainly k  相似文献

Wellbore instability, particularly in shale formations, is regarded as a major challenge in drilling operations. Many factors, such as rock properties, in-situ stresses, chemical interactions between shale and drilling fluids, and thermal effects, should be considered in well trajectory designs and drilling fluid formulations in order to mitigate wellbore instability-related problems. A comprehensive study of wellbore stability in shale formations that takes into account the three-dimensional earth stresses around the wellbore as well as chemical and thermal effects is presented in this work. The effects of borehole configuration (e.g. inclination and azimuth), rock properties (e.g. strength, Young's modulus, membrane efficiency and permeability), temperature and drilling fluid properties (e.g. mud density and chemical concentrations) on wellbore stability in shale formations have been investigated. Results from this study indicate that for low-permeability shales, chemical interactions between the shale and water-based fluids play an important role. Not only is the activity of the water important but the diffusion of ions is also a significant factor for saline fluids. The cooling of drilling fluids is found to be beneficial in preventing compressive failure. However, decreasing the mud temperature can be detrimental since it reduces the fracturing pressure of the formation, which can result in lost-circulation problems. The magnitude of thermal effects depends on shale properties, earth stresses and wellbore orientation and deviation. Conditions are identified when chemical and thermal effects play a significant role in determining the mud-weight window when designing drilling programmes for horizontal and deviated wells. The results presented in this paper will help in reducing the risks associated with wellbore instability and thereby lowering the overall non-productive times and drilling costs.  相似文献

本文基于我国第一轮海域天然气水合物试采地质模型,利用Tough+Hydrate对近井储层改造后的水合物藏进行降压开采模拟研究。探究了多孔骨架渗流通道对气/水输送、压降传播、水合物分解等的影响机制,评估了近井储层改造在不同开采层位和整个开采过程中对产能提高的贡献大小。模拟结果表明:多孔骨架渗流通道内气/水流速高,可以起到导流、防砂的作用;近井储层改造可促进压降传播,加快水合物分解,但骨架通道的增产作用随开采时间增加逐渐减弱;近井储层改造在不同开采层位起到的增产效果不同,三相层中的增产效果最明显,但由于模拟改造范围较小、形成的多孔骨架渗流通道渗透性较低,增产效果不明显,多孔骨架渗流通道高度为50 cm时,2年产气量仅提高11.7%。  相似文献
